Libby by OverDrive, provides free access for patrons to thousands of eBooks and eAudiobooks. The Libby app is compatible with smartphones, tablets, and Windows 10 computers.

Easily download the app onto your device, add your library card, and search or browse titles.


Access complete editions of digital magazines on your PC, Mac or mobile device. Current and back editions are available and you may check out as many issues as you want and keep them as long as needed.

You can create a free account using your valid library card.

Mobile apps are available for iPad, iPhone, Android and Kindle Fire.

Gale Courses

Available through the Monarch Library System, Gale Courses are FREE online classes offered on a variety of topics.

Their six-week format is flexible to fit your schedule; most classes have a suggested course load of 2-4 hours a week that you can spend at your convenience.

An award of completion, earned by a passing grade, is great for resumes and continuing education.

Hundreds of courses are available on topics from accounting and finance to writing and publishing. New ones begin every month!

To enroll, you must have a current library card and Internet connection. Full requirements are listed for each class on the Gale Courses website.

This collection has varied check out periods and all items must be returned to the Slinger Library. Items are non-holdable and non-renewable.

Drop by the circulation desk to fill out a short application form or print out the attached form and fill it out beforehand. You will need a driver's license or photo ID with current address.


Applicants under 16 years of age must have a parent present with the parent’s driver’s license. Your first library card is free! There is a $3 replacement fee if you lose your card.

Ideal for sales leads, mailing lists, market research, employment opportunities, finding friends and relatives, and much more. 

Login with your Slinger Community library card number for access.


Through the Department of Public Instruction, the Badgerlink Program has been developed to provide Wisconsin residents with access to information. Users can search for magazine and newspaper articles through Badgerlink. 


With more than 1.5 billion names in over 4,000 databases, Ancestry Library edition includes records from the United States Census; military records; court, land and probate records; vital and church records; directories; passenger lists and more!  

This is only accessible at the library so please come in with your library card and use our computers to access Ancestry Library Edition!


 Learn 80 languages in 50 languages at your own pace.

ESL training is also available in 50 non-english speaking languages.

Online access is available in a browser on a computer and mobile devices.

There is also an online prep test course designed for immigrants to succeed at the Naturalization test called ProCitizen.
